Who operates this site

Compare Water Damage Restoration is owned and operated by Apex Promotions LLC, 405 W. Greenlawn Ave., #G11, Lansing, MI 48910. This policy describes what Compare Water Damage Restoration collects, why, and what happens to it.

What we collect

When a homeowner submits a request on a ranked page, we collect the name, phone number, email address (if given), ZIP code, service category, and a description of the problem entered in the form. We also record the exact consent text shown, the time the consent box was checked, the submitting IP address, and the browser user agent. When a company submits a claim or a free-listing request, we collect the business name, contact name, work email, phone, address, and website given in that form.

Where it is stored

Homeowner requests and company listing data are stored in a Supabase database that Compare Water Damage Restoration controls. The site itself runs on Vercel. Neither provider is given any purpose for the data beyond hosting it on Compare Water Damage Restoration's behalf.

Each homeowner request and each contact-form message is also sent to the operator, Apex Promotions LLC, as a text message through Twilio, and kept in the operator's own records, so that someone can respond quickly.

What happens to a homeowner request

We pass your request to up to 3 restoration companies: the ones you selected on a list page, or, if you did not select any, the top 3 by our published score for your town. We send them your name, phone number, ZIP code and description so they can contact you about the job. Once a company has your request, its own privacy policy also applies. We do not sell your information to data brokers or advertisers.

Consent for contact

The request form shows this text next to an unchecked box, and a request is not submitted unless the box is checked:

“By checking this box, I agree that Compare Water Damage Restoration and up to 3 restoration companies (the ones I selected, or ones matched to my request) may call, text, or email me at the number and address I provided about my request, including by automated dialing or text technology, and that this consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. I can revoke this consent at any time by replying STOP or by emailing hello@comparewaterdamagerestoration.com.”

To revoke consent, contact the company that received your request directly, or email hello@comparewaterdamagerestoration.com and we will tell the matched company you have revoked.

Public business data and review quotes

Company pages show public business information and short excerpts of public Google reviews, with the reviewer's display name and date as they appear on Google. We collect this through a data provider on the same day for every company on a list. To ask us to remove a review quote that shows your name, email hello@comparewaterdamagerestoration.com.

Analytics

As of this draft, Compare Water Damage Restoration has no analytics or tracking script installed on the site. If that changes, this section will name the provider and what it collects before it goes live.

Cookies

Compare Water Damage Restoration does not set marketing or advertising cookies. The site may use strictly technical cookies required to serve the page.

Data retention and deletion
